Just returned from a family vacation in Mackinac Island and this hotel fit the bill perfectly! We stayed in a lovely HarborView room on the second floor-it was spacious, with a beautiful balcony and sitting-area. The location can't be beat, right next to the Arnold Line and across from Doud's Market and right on Main Street. They bring your bags... More

Our experience at the Chippewa was fantastic. We loved the view of the water from the Jacuzzi and the hotel is conveniently located right across the street from the only grocery store, although it doesn't take long to get from one place to another anyway. The room was quaint, clean, and perfect for what we needed. I would stay here... More

We stayed in one of the smaller rooms facing the street. We loved being close to all of the shops and activities. We got an extrememly good price on the room because we stayed before the schools got out June 1st to June 3rd. The staff was client service oriented and I have no complaints. I would stay there again.

The room I thought I was getting was not available and I ending up staying on the first floor rather than the top floor....that being said, it was still all good. It was cool outside so there was little activity around the hot tub and outside bar....so it turned out fine....I would not have been happy if the weather had... More

This hotel is absolutely beautiful! The rooms on the lakeside have an unbelievable view. Additionally, the service provided by the entire staff is second to none. My girlfriend and I only stayed one night at this hotel but plan on returning for three nights next year since we enjoyed our stay so much. By the way, the Pink Pony bar... More

We were there during a cold, dreary two days and still had an incredible time on this magical island that I remember from my childhood. My most recent visit was 30 years ago, and despite the weather we were not disappointed. Our room, facing the lake, was phenomenal--spacious, private, quiet and relaxing. We arrived early and our luggage was taken... More

We had wanted to visit Mackinac Island for awhile. Vacation planning or lack of, enabled us to do some places that normally we wouldn't have enough vacation time to go for a visit. Early June, the hotel rates on this island are a little lower and off we went. Mackinac Island is truly like stepping back in time. The Chippewa... More

This is a terrific property on main street in Mackinac Island. The hotel is kid friendly with complementary breakfast for the kids and good menu at the Pink Pony bar inside. We flew private and ended up getting fogged in and had to stay an extra day, not planned, but he staff found us another room and everyone made it... More

This is our 2nd stay at the Chippewa. We stayed in the Lakeview suite. Perfect for our family! On Main Street but overlooking the harbor. It provided a peaceful and relaxing retreat. The room was spacious and CLEAN ! There is a kitchenette that allowed us to prepare some simple meals. Very comfortable. Staff is very friendly. The giant hot... More

We always stay in a water front suite. Love the separate sleeping area and living room. The location is perfect. Love the morning and evening view. The pinky pony is right in the same place. Music is always good.
