I have stayed here a lot of times for many years. Now I feel less welcome, the service is not as good, and the employees seems to have a hard time. (I was told the tips provided by the guests were collected by the owner.) Moved over to Barca de Oro.

We visited Suyapa restaurant on recommendation and what a great experience. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The only negative i have about the place are the local kids hanging around selling stuff while your eating. Cant say about the hotel just visited the restaurant.

The food while good, was too pricey for the decor and atmosphere. Nice thing that they added, was a no smoking section :).... only you have to go through the smoking section to reach it :/. The rooms were nice by nicaraguan standards not a Ritz Carlton but if you wanted fancy hotels and five star north american service you should vacation in the USA. I had a room with a fantastic view of the ocean. (Room 11). The restaurant was a bit slow, but the food was good. I loved swimming in the ocean, but be careful because the currents were a bit strong. They did have wifi, but I had to ask for the password at the bar.
