I recently stayed at somar lodge during a trip in April. The overall stay was ok however there were a few things we were dissappointed with. The pool was dirty and not inviting at all. Our room did not lock even though we were given a key, this was not functioning properly. our Spanish was very minimal so this also... More

“A nice accident”

We discovered this lodge by accident following a small camino along the Pacific. If we understood it right, it is run by a women's cooperative. The pool was a little bit dirty, but it was very windy too. Otherwise very clean and family friendly.

This lodge on the beach was incredibly relaxing and at the same time energetic and full of life. With the beach literally 20 steps away, it made our honeymoon an excellent way to keep things private yet enjoying home cooked meals from locals. It was about a half hour away from the main city which is exactly what we wanted... More
