I have never stayed at Mc Gowan's but have been back again and again for there breakfast. My sister and I are actually taking my dad this saturday for his 50th birthday.

McGowans has a nice restaurant, rooms are clean. Not fancy but neither is the price. Hot water, good heat, just the basics we wanted. Staff was very friendly. Right on trail.

Trout Lake MI. Mc Gownan's Motel & Restaurant, a great place to stay. They have a friendly staff. With good local foods on the site. Will stay there when in town agaon.

Stayed at McGowan Motel, in Trout Lake, Michigan in early 3/06 for snowmobiling. It is a small (10 room) family run motel directly on the snowmobile trail.
