Our family had a US vacation last May 2011 and one of our tourist destination is the serene, poetic, rustic place of Lake Superior in Duluth, MN. We stayed here for a weekend and it was a nice experience for all of us. The room and bathroom is big and clean with fresh linens and complete toiletries. Our kids love... More

My wife and I wanted to short get-a-way for a few days so we stayed at Inn on the Lake in Duluth. We have stayed here for the past 17 years, lately our visits become less frequent for various reasons. We found the Inn as good if not better than it has been in the past. We were welcomed by... More

Clean, nice staff, reasonable price, very large breakfast area, and four nice waffle machines, fruits, cereals, tea, etc. and plenty of tables to sit at . Large indoor swimming pool and smaller outside heated pool good even in February. The hotel is popular with young people coming for hockey in winter. The hotel is in the canal area and their... More

Great location, even in winter. Great walking trails and easily located near nice restaurants including Grandma's. Very clean rooms, hallways, dining area, lobby, etc. Hotel was quiet in evening. Nice "themed" decorating to match location (including cute light fixtures in halls that have "lift" bridge theme, which I thought was cute along with pics of ships on lake, etc. Breakfast... More

My fiance and I have stayed at the Inn on Lake Superior several times over the last few years and we consistently return when they offer specials on rooms because of the location within canal park and the great views of the lake and lift bridge. We have yet to use either of the pools as they are generally filled... More

A view of Lake Superior is a plus at this location. Not impressed with amenities or service, better elsewhere. Many shops and so-so restaurants in walking distance. More

The location of this hotel makes it the best place to stay in Duluth. You are in the middle of the shops and nightlife. The view from your balcony is the best in town. You are also close enough to the shipping canal to run out and catch the ore boats going past into the harbor. To make your stay... More

I've stayed at the Inn on Lake Superior before, but will stay somewhere else the next time I'm in Duluth. I was given a room next to the pool at check-in, but asked to move once the parties began; the staff promptly moved us across the hall to a lake-view room on the first floor. This was much better, except... More
