A Stay Inn Ely is located at 112 West Sheridan. This 'Old House' at 112 West Sheridan Street was remodeled by the owners themselves. Each room is paneled with different species of locally harvested lumber (white and red pine, black ash, tamarack, and white cedar). Don left some of the wood as rough cut, to add a rustic beauty to certain rooms. Other woods were milled and handcrafted to random widths, either tongue and grooved, shiplapped, or board and batten patterns. We sanded and then oiled and varnished the rooms to a beautiful luster which allowed each room to achieve a rustic eloquence of its own. The spacious bathrooms have white cedar ceilings and large showers. Plush mattresses and deluxe pillows will provide guests with a luxurious night's sleep. There's a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, and a Gathering Room with a fireplace for all guests. All rooms can be individually heat controlled and air-conditioned; and all rooms have cable TV and access to FREE wireless internet; Plus guests receive a complimentary fresh baked pastry breakfast with an assortment of coffees, teas, and hot chocolates at our Coffee Shop & Bakery with their reservation. We accept VISA & Mastercard. We honor AAA, AARP, and MPR (Minnesota Public Radio) with a 10% discount. Only one discount per reservation allowed.
