We unexpectedly had an overnight stay here, arriving with no reservations, no clothes, no toiletries, et cetera, on Thanksgiving Day. The front desk staff person that evening was really helpful. She tried to sort out where we could pick up some essentials, made sure we knew what food options were available at the hotel (baked frozen pizza, some snacks, coffee)... More

So very happy we were there for you. And very pleased that hear staff made you feel so welcomed and cared for. That is our goal here at the AmericInn of Moose Lake. Maybe your next stay with us will be less of a personal trail for you. I do hope everything worked out.. And I do hope to see... More

My friend and I had tickets for a concert at Black Bear Casino in mid-October but we could not reserve a room at the Black Bear Casino Hotel because they were full. We tried the AmericInn in Moose Lake and they had the type of room we needed (two beds, non-smoking). We were impressed the minute we walked into the... More

We stayed here for one night on our way to the North shore. It was clean, had a nice breakfast with hard boiled eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, and juice. The room was comfortable and quiet. They have no elevator but did offer to assist us with our baggage to the second floor. There is a Subway store and gas... More

So very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. As the new manager it has taken me a while to catch up with the reviews. But I hope I can meet you on your next visit. Thank you for your beautiful comments. More

We were stuck in Duluth with no place to stay. We asked at the AmericInn there and they were vert helpful and called their sister hotel in Moose Lake and they happened to have a cancellation. The room was very comfortable even though we could only get a smoking room. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and would definitely... More

After a long day we were unable to find any decent places to stay in Hinckley (the Casino looked nice, but didn't have wi-fi in the rooms), so we continued north until we saw the AmericInn in Moose Lake: what a blessing. The hotel staff are great, the rooms were clean, and good value for the area. More

Rather typical Americinn, good quiet off Interstate location. Useful for a stopover if you're heading north to Duluth--much cheaper than downtown Duluth locations and only an hour or so out. Clean, well-staffed, no real issues with rooms. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired: rubbery hardboiled eggs, greasy biscuits and gravy, tasteless bagles and muffins but cereal and make your... I've stayed in several Americinns. I choose them because of the quality of the chain. This, I must say, was the least impressive. Maybe it was because it was older, but it didn't have the same quality feel as the others we have stayed in. Bedding was clean, but had obviously seen better days. Perhaps the worst for me was... We stayed here for a trip to attend a funeral for my husband's mom. The woman who took our reservation on the phone was so helpful and friendly; we always travel with our two pups....she made sure to give us a ground floor room near the door which was perfect for our needs. The staff was great when we arrived...quickly... More

We were at this motel on a very busy weekend,we were given our room and after a short while we realized the air conditioning was not working. We reported this to the front desk and they said they would get a hold of maintenance.A little while later they told us that they could not contact maintenance so they moved us 2... I booked online through the AmericInn website. I called to confirm prior to arival. All was well. Facilities are very nice. Big pool area, free access to computer with internet. They do serve a good breakfast in the morning. They had scrambled eggs which were NOT the best. But had sausage and waffles, so overall a pleasant experience. My room... More
