Participated in EELPOUT FEST and stayed at HIAWATHA BEACH RESORT for 3 days. We had 8 guys in our group so you know things are hectic but we couldn't have had more fun at any other resort. Food was good, bar was open, hot tub and pool perfect, room was very very nice. Had snowmobiles along, good parking and trails... More

This will be the 46th year my family has been going to Hiawatha Beach. My grandparents and parents took us three kids there in 1967. I remember Tanner and Myrtle Jacobson were the owners then, (Myrtle made the BEST pies, Tanner was the Launch Guide). And Myrtles sister Rachael.... Those two could cook/bake to die for! Then to Stan and... More

Our family has stayed at Hiawatha Beach Resort for the last 6 years and have reserved our cabin again this year. From the first time we met Larry and the rest of the Jacobson family, we knew this is the place we wanted to spend our summer vacations with our kids. After our first year at Hiawatha Beach, we invited... More

While Leech Lake is beautiful and the area is also beautiful, we were underwhelmed by Hiawatha Beach Resort. The equipment and boats were old and worn out. There is no restaurant (just a sandwich cafe) on the premises. The pool and hot tub were just ok and overall clean considering how worn out the facilities were (no kiddie pool). They... More

The resort we had reservations at didn't pan out (no one there), so we started back-tracking towards Walker and stopped in at Hiawatha Beach Resort. We took the little cabin nearest the lake. It was September 2011 so not many people around and the lodge wasn't open like it would have been during peak season. Rates were a bit higher... More

Twenty family members stayed in cabin 16 for three nights. There were 4 bedrooms downstairs and 4 bedrooms upstairs, 2 bathrooms downstairs between the bedrooms and 2 upstairs between bedrooms. Also two large futons in upstairs loft and 2 pull-out couches in living area. It's a big cabin with a very nice fire-pit built on the corner of a huge... More

It's hard to express just how much fun we had at Hiawatha Beach Resort on Leech Lake! They had everything right at our finger tips...We biked one day as a family and the next day we went out on an amazing boat ride. The kids had many activities to be involved with. The best was the rocket builing and the... More

The entire family (including a 10 year old girl, twin 16 year old boys, and 18 and 19 year old girls) had an absolute blast! It's hard to please all of them, and Hiawatha certainly did. While the lake bottom was mucky, the water was warm and the trampoline provided a lot of fun. The pool and hot tub also... More
