We had to stay here, since we arrived to Sidon late and the Al Qualaa did not have our reservation and was fully booked. There was no other choice. Even $65 is too much for the dirty, dark room that we had to stay. Both the bathroom and beds were dirty. No air conditioning and it was full of bugs.... More

The location is perfect. It is in the midst of the old Saida souq, and only five minutes walk to the Sea Castle. But the service is very poor. They don't clean up the room for five days, and the air-conditioner doesn't works well. Only one night stay will be a good experience, but I cannot recommend the longer stay.

The only saving grace for this hotel is its location in the old town, in the middle of the Souks. Other than that I have absolutely nothing positive to say at all. The rooms were dirty with ants crawling everywhere (and we were on the top floor). There were virtually no windows, the electrics were dodgy as hell, the bathroon... More

The hotel is dirty. The sheets were unchanged! The corridor and stairs are shabby, The stuff is the most unprofessional i have ever seen, and they are rude. It was really bad! I am from Saida and I like to spend many of my free time there. I've tried all kind of accommodations available in the city. I believe it... More

There are not many hotel options in Sidon and Yacoub may be the best option in the lower price range (double 65 USD). The location, in the old town, is very central, but is is also next to a mosque (expect noise from the minarets during the night). The staff is not friendly at all. Breakfast consists of coffee/tea and... More

It is a decent hotel, large rooms, clean large bathrooms, a bit run down and not taken care of. Staff can be very nice, but others are really unprofessional. Irecommend room number 3, it is a 'suite', which in reality means there is a small living room and 2 double rooms sharing a bathroom . We got it as a... More

I called and made a reservation a few days prior. The guy on the phone was rude. Upon arrival he was even more rude as if we were putting him out by having to check in. As the previous reviewer states, the hotel looks nothing like the photos on their website, especially the bedroom which had no windows to the... More

Hotel Yacoub is a nice place, though it doesn`t look anything like the pics on their website. the common area has seen better days. our room was lovely with a big, private bathroom. the only problem is staff. they were constantly watching tv and smoking in the common area, even while we and a family with small children were having...
