I spend 150 nights a year on the road. This place reminds me of "travel at its best". Great suites, room service and the best location in in town. It is charming without being old. It is intimate without being to small. Not the cheapest place to stay, but best place to stay in KC.

We loved it!! A little pricey but well worth it. We upgraded to the Presidential. Scott at the bar in Chaz was awesome!! You can not beat the Rafael as the place to stay when visiting the Country Club Plaza. This is a Historic Hotel of America so expect great service and a classy atmosphere. As usual, stay was great Very clean, good service, nice bar downstairs, front desk attentive, bellhops and car valet very helpful My only hotel when visiting KC Plaza area Hot coffee to go! Chaz Restaurant in the hotel is good for breakfast, but not dinner; food choices not that good better to walk across the street. Service spotty.

Recently stayed at the beautiful Raphael Hotel in Kansas City. Everyone was so nice, it is beautiful place, great location. My first visit to Kansas City, and now, one of my favorite places. So much to see and do, I am looking forward to visiting again.The staff was exceptional, weather was crummy, but it didn't affect the trip.
