My husband and I decided to stay at the Savoy for our 5th wedding anniversary despite the reviews. We were a bit disappointed in the interior of the hotel and the elevators and hallways. They really smelled bad. Dirty and gross in the hallways. Our room however was superb!! The room was like a diamond in a pile of coal!!... more

I read the online reviews before I went so I knew what to expect. Location is good, just 5-6 blocks from The Midland Theater, about 7blocks or so from Sprint Center, all walking distance. Not for everyone but we had a great stay! Compared to the prices of a normal downtown KC hotel, it was worth having a few less luxaries. We enjoyed the character of the old hotel and the bruch was great! more

Stayed in a "renovated" Victorian King Room. The bathroom was so small; no counter space to even lay your grooming items. Tell you what.....nice room, downtown, plus individualized breakfast.....excellent value and stay overall. The restaurant is formal. They serve from the left and scrape crumbs between courses. For the money, this place is bar none. more
