Two of we couples were traveling along the Glacial Hills Scenic byway in Kansas and decided to see what Falls City, Nebraska, had to offer in the way of lodging for the night. When we drove up to the Grand Weaver, we weren't duly impressed with the dark red brick, nondescript architecture. However, once we stepped inside to the newly-refurbished... More

I recently was in town for a funeral and decided to try it out based on other reviews. the front lobby still is being renovated but once on the 4th floor, you feel like you are in a new, "old world"hotel. The rooms are on the small side but very clean and updated. The bathroom was a good size and... More

Just about to finish my second business trip to Falls City in the last 8 weeks. I read a review on the net for the first trip and decided to stay at the Weaver. If you want a feel of walking back in time, just enter the lobby. You notice immediately the first door which is the barber shop, yes... More

Apparently the hotel has been under renovation for a year, if not longer. A guest stated that the owners ran out of money and the renovation has stopped. Notwithstanding, the fourth floor has been amazingly restored back to its original condition - hotel was built in 1924. Although the rooms are small, the furnishings and decor are worthy to see... My family and I recently returned to Falls City (home to my mother's family for 3 generations) for a funeral. Stayed at the Grand Weaver and thoroughly feel in love with this diamod in the rough. It's still under renovation. However, the 4th floor rooms are absolutely beautiful. They've really kept true to the history of this place. Additionally, I... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Grand Weaver which is historic old hotel in downtown Falls City, NE & is currently under complete renovation. Upon arrival, we walked through construction debris into shabby aged lobby. Staff was friendly, anxious to please & apologetic considering the obvious mess. But after checking in we entered the new elevator & were totally amazed... More

Was very impressed that the hotel is keeping it's historic value. They were in the process of remodeling while I stayed there (lobby, restraunt, est) which I understand, it has to be done. The fourth floor rooms are completely remodeled and are amazing. Very comfortable bed, beautiful tile showers and tubs, vessel sinks, new HDTVs...wonderful. Staff is fantastic also. Only... More

Went to wife's hometown (4,200 people) to celebrate anniversary. Stayed in King-Spa room for $159 a night. Very friendly staff. 4th floor is only area refurbished and those halls and our room and furniture were quite high-end (elegant, really). Main floor/lobby were just plain old. Our room had no view at all. Huge room, clean, but .... Vanity/bowl had no... More
