The Cal Neva was a great place to stay. The tunnel tour and the storied history of the property make it a lot more interesting than your average hotel. Plus, the beautiful views of the lake. friendly staff and great Happy Hour prices! Can't wait to go back.

The place is a shambles. Old and unkept. We didn't actually stay here, thank God, but went in for the curiosity factor of being on the state line. The pictures and website are VERY deceiving! The grounds were under kept (even in the winter months), tiles on the stairways missing, cracked tiles in the lobby.
