The location in Ely is good and walk-able to the small down town restaurants and bars. Breakfast is basic, and the carpets really need replacing. TV reception is very poor. I think it is a little overpriced for the quality.

I agree with the other reviews in that this was a clean very friendly place. Rooms were fine and the breakfast good enough. A couple of great murals across the street if you are interested in that sort of thing. We've stayed there before and will again I'm sure.

We agree with the two previous reviews. But what impressed us most of all was the cleanliness of the place - room, lobby, breakfast area. We've had a set of 30 one-night stands in the last month, and thought this had the cleanest appearance of any we've stayed in - no matter what the price.

Ditto on what the other reviewers said. Pleasantly surprised by modern room. My son had never stayed in a motor lodge before and told me the place looked "sketchy." But when we opened the door to the room, he discovered the flat screen TV and clean beds and bathroom and ended up thinking it was a pretty cool place after... More

This motel is obviously old but has been well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. The towels are as soft as at a high end hotel. The Continental Breakfast is good for such a small motel. WiFi was a bit iffy but my laptop struggles to connect at many WiFi spots. Comfy beds and pillows.

Accomodations were clean and adequate, parking space was cramped for our crewcab pickup truck. Would have preferred 1st floor as we are older & will request that next time. We would choose this motel again. Thanks!

They've taken a 1950s type motel and have upgraded it with the latest accessories. Front desk couple were very friendly and helpful. They must have been having plumbing problems becaue both mornings we had cold showers. Otherwise the rooms were clean well decored and the staff nice.
