Everything was clean. Everything was shabby. Everything was either too warm or too cool. The tub was dangerous. Don't go there. The toilet seat was broken. The heat unit was impossible to manage. An outlet wasn't working at all; and that caused a problem. Concrete pillows. Poor night of sleep.

A one night stop for a comfortable night of sleep was all that we wanted, but that was impossible due to the disgusting condition of this motel. The hotel clerk was very nice and friendly. However, the condition of the motel was deplorable. The exterior carpet on the walkways on each floor was worn out and filthy. The planters hanging on the railings had nothing but dirt and cigarette butts. Our room was designated as "No Smoking" however it reeked of stale cigarette smoke and the lamp shades were stained by nicotine. The carpet was dirty and stained, the window filthy, two of the lamps did not work, and there was hole in the bathroom door. The bathroom and sheets appreared to be clean, but the matress and pillows had a stong bad odor. Signs were posted to "please excuse the dust" because they are remodeling and upgrading, but there was no signs of such. This was the worst motel that we have ever stayed in. It was shocking that it was full, but there are very few choices in town.

This is not a Hampton Inn nor is it a roach motel. It is an average place that had a clean room and bathroom and a comfortable bed. I was on a motorcycle trip along the Pony Express so I didn't need any more than that. The furniture and carpets were warn and dated and needs replacement. The outside also needs maintenance but all in all it is an average place. The rooms price was a little high for the quality however, the other place in town was book and this place only had a couple rooms left and I didn't want to go any further.

We had driven from San Francisco and we were tired. We had traveled part of the way so far on the loneliest road in the US. There were very few vehicles and even fewer gas stations and places to eat or sleep. The town seemed to shut down early as we saw only one car with a girl in it and a guy on the outside talking to her. The room we got was small, single bed, but it was sufficient for one night. There were no breakfasts served and we didn't see any restaurants when we got up early and left heading east.

Driving thru 4 states and got stuck in snowstorm at the top of the peak and decided to stay in Eureka instead of Ely. Hotel clerk was very pleasant to deal with :) The only downfall was that the electricity kept going on and off during our stay which I can attribute to the storm.

This facility has an amazing amount of deferred maintenance!! Broken furniture and machines lining the walkways. Door to our room could not swing freely. Had to me lifted off the floor to open or close. Carpet appeared very dirty and worn and made you hesitate to remove shoes. No hair drier. Sheets and towels did appear clean. Sink faucet was very old and did not function well. Could not recommend and would not return.

This place is showing it’s age, but is clean. Kind of noisy from room above, manager seemed to have “take it or leave it” attitude, maybe due to place being full with local contractors. Bring your own soap, only 2 tiny bars provided. WiFi works well.

It's a small place but very friendly and clean. The owner has put a lot of love into the lodge and it pays off. The rooms are clean. The area is very quiet even though it's on the main street going through town.

Cannot emphasize enough- RUDEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Details: Arrived late in the evening ~9pm after 14 hours of driving; rang the doorbell and called the tele posted on the door for service since nobody was working. When told it would be a 15 minute wait, I expressed apparent surprise which prompted the innkeeper to scold me about how Eureka is not a 24-hr town. Ok... She shows up, doesn't say a word, just looks at me, then opens the office door. She turns around and finally says, preceded by NO salutation, "Was that you that called?" and proceeded to scold me about hanging up on her. I replied I did not realize I had hung up on her. I was trying to be polite and expressed confusion by their doorbell and signs indicating to ring it... she used this as an opportunity to start an argument about how I just didn't know how to use the doorbell and customers that need it, know how to use it. She mentions, "Let's not argue" (I didn't even mean to start, just offering conversation to a clearly angry woman)... THEN SHE PROCEEDED TO ARGUE AND TELL ME I DIDN"T KNOW HOW TO BE A CUSTOMER!!! I pointed out that she was doing exactly what she said not to- argue... she sent me packing with no room. I drove to Austin, NV and will never stop in Eureka, NV for any services again.
