We stayed at the Spike to save a bit of money and because besides the Nuggett it's one of the only hotels on Fremont with a pool. The little restaurant was really good and the video poker bar had great bartenders. We would stay there again but expect nice and simple. Also try the Cabana Suites at the El Cortez
