Well, whatever you do or wherever you stay, DO NOT STAY AT THE RIO!!!!!!!!!!! The buffet there is wonderful, but the Rio is NOT meant for lodging. Stayed there for an impromptu night in a suite that on first appearance would look wonderful. I had a dinosaur Zenith television facing nowhere in particular - with NO premium channels or a... More

The rooms are spacious, but on the "dated" side. They need to be remodeled. Pros include: price, polite staff, complimentary shuttle to the strip, buffet, and conferencing facilities. Negatives include, water pressure, noise throughout the night from the locomotives on the nearby train tracks, CRT TV, thermostat is 6" from vent (constent on/off), distance from the strip and charging by... This hotel is great if you want to be a little ways off the strip. Its quieter. The pools are good including a salt pool with sand. The Buffetts are what this hotel is all about. SO MANY CHOICES AND SUCH GREAT FOOD. More

I just returned from a four night stay Jan. 29th-Feb. 2nd. We arrived at midnight on the 29th so check in was a breeze. Asked for a room in the Ipenema Tower and got it. The room was a suite as this is an all suite hotel. Large bedroom, sofa and dressing area, separate from the bathroom and shower. Skip... More

Rio is a huge complex that has convention area, large casino/gaming area/several pools and various restaurants on site. I was there for a four day convention and had a great stay. If one is in Vegas to gamble and be entertained, Rio is a pretty good deal. Live (free) shows in the casino happen nightly with overhead Mardi Gras parades... More

I took my wife to the rio for six nights as a birthday trip. The room was large with plenty of room to move around, the buffet and restaurants are good food with good service the table games are fun the slots pay ok. The parking could be better! still enjoyed our stay very much and would definetly return to... More

i was in vegas between 1/24 to 1/28 and stayed at the Rio Ipanema tower. Against some of my colleagues' advise where they stayed at the Bellagio, i stayed at the Rio. Let me just say that even with the skimpiest dress on their cocktail waitress will not be enough to bring me back. After reading all the review here... More

We stayed here in May 2011 after receiving a fantastic deal through our Harrahs reward card - basically for the price we had it was almost free for 4 nights so couldn't not afford to try it. To be honest we were not too sure about the hotel as it was on the strip but with the regular free shuttle... More

First the good. No resort fees! Large suite-like rooms and very pretty cocktail waitresses. The bad- difficult parking unless you're a Diamond level player or guest. Long lines to check in and equally long at the buffet(also remedied if you're a Diamond level guest). The Ugly - There is a coffee pot in the suite, with no coffee. If you... More

On check-in the desk tried to give us a standard room even though we paid for premium. When I protested she gave us the room type we paid for but moved us to the older Masquerade tower, and I was too tired to argue further. Aside from that the rooms are HUGE and come with refrigerators. Everything was clean and... More
