I've stayed here more times than I can count over the years. It used to be my top choice in Reno, but now I prefer to stay in downtown. The most important thing to know about this hotel is that although there's only one tower, there are two distinct types of rooms. The upper floors they call their Summit rooms... More

We appreciate the constructive comments this guest provided, however we disagree with her ending recommendation. We have begun a $25 million dollar renovation and we did indeed start with our Summit floors. Our customers continually asked us to improve the lighting and decor on these floors, and we listened. We believe we have created a room on the Summit floors... More

We had heard great things about the Grand Sierra Resort and have been wanting to stay there for some time, we go to Reno several times a year and decided to stay there for this family trip and ended up dissapointed and frustrated in several ways. All of the rooms are not remodeled, we had a room with 2 queen... More

We apologize for our inability to properly handle this situation with children and the proximity to gaming devices. While the law is very clear, we could have done a better job in communicating and being empathetic in this situation. We will review this customer's comments in our next staff meeting to ensure that future guests do not have a similar... More

After biannual business trips for several years, we will not return! The Grand Sierra WAS the gracious alternative to the glitzy casino mills of Reno . After my stay this past week, we will seek new lodgings on our return trip. The lowlights from this sojourn: The rooms in the Summit (preferred section) are deteriorating. In theory, many of the... We will be reviewing this customer's comments with the Front Desk team to ensure that we respond to our customers feedback in a professional and empathetic manner and resolve the issue to their satisfaction prior to departure. As mentioned in prior responses, we are remodeling these rooms and initial comments are all positive. We do have HD channels in all... More

I have always wanted to stay at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino. We check in on a Friday night for one night. The hotel is very big and has everything you would want for people with children or just couples. The night we were there happen to be "First Fridays" and we had a blast. We danced, gambled and... Several of our family members stayed at the Grand Sierra. We traveled from several locations to celebrate our sister's birthday celebration. It was closed to the restaurant and affordable for everyone. Great celebration and weekend getaway! More

I was lucky enough to snag one of the newly remodeled rooms with a flat screen tv and a bathroom the size of some hotel rooms I've stayed in. Every thing was good. There is a shuttle that takes you to and from the airport. There is also a city bus that stops right outside the door and takes to... More

I stayed at Grand Sierra originally for 2 reasons. I got a sweet deal at $35 room (was total $50 after tax and resort fee), and the second was that it was very close to airport. I flew into Reno a day earlier than my companions, and needed to pick them up at airport the next day. Firstly, the shuttle... More

We have been staying at the Grand Sierra since it became the Grand Sierra, and previously Hilton. The new owners, have thus far made the best improvements. The lobby is looking much more contemporary. We dined at several of the restaurants while we were there, Rim, Briscola, Charlie Palmer, cafe Sierra, and Cantina. The Cantina is a welcome addition, but... More

This is the third hotel/casino we have stayed at in Reno in the last year and this was the least of the three. First of all the price at just over $50.00 per room/per night, I can't complain about that. The room was a good size as was the bathroom, the beds were comfortable, the pillows (2) were too small...
