This place is a run down dump, I not only caught a cold but had bed bug bites over my entire body and the management did nothing to help out only saying that they had not had any reports of bed bugs in the room I stayed. I will never go back, this place still has cigarette stink in from... More

This guest did bring his concern to our attention and we had a 3rd party inspect this room and they did not find any indication of the presence of any insect. Due to the guest's comments to the Front Desk, we called for another inspection and again nothing was found. We are very sorry for this guest's experience, however we... More

There has been a free room promotion that has run through February. Upon calling the hotel, as you could not book this using their click through to make a reservation. , they tell me how they are sold out on this promotion through February. Finding that totally hard to believe, I book the hotel. Then a day later another promotion... More

The rooms and hallways could use some brighter lighting but the staff was great. Keith at Johnny Rockets resturant should be giving training classed to all the want-to-be waiters in the rest of the world. More

My husband & I have stayed at the Grand Sierra many times over the past couple of years. Our most recent stay was 1/8 - 1/12, 2012. We received a special deal on a Summit room, can’t recall the exact amount -- something like $40/night. We aren’t gamblers but typically stay here because my husband is a skier. He can... More

This hotel was previously the Reno Hilton. The hotel in it self is kind of dated. I think they are in the process of remodeling some of the rooms. To preface the review we did stay in a standard room. Maybe the summit rooms are better. Reservation department is kind of unreliable. Our team stayed at the hotel and asked... More

Location is fine. I just wish the rooms were in better condition. I believe they have some rooms that have been updated. However, I think we had one of the old ones. A few items could be added to the rooms, for instance a coffee maker and refrigerator. More

I booked this hotel on line after reading the hotel website about their remodeled rooms, looking at pictures and reading reviews from other travelers. When I booked on line, I stated that we had 2 adults and 3 children in our group, selected a double room and checked the box stating we needed a roll away. I received an email... More

The rooms at The Grand Sierra were fine, but the rest of the property had a dirty/smokey feel to them. The HVAC system is not up to date which results in the smoke issues. There are better options out there. Staff was OK, not great, not terrible. More

We have stayed at the Grand Sierra Resort many, many times, and this visit was just about comparable to the previous ones. We arrived on a Friday evening, and check in for The Summit was very quick. The room was very nice. Now, some may be a little nit-picky about the few things we've come to expect as "normal" for... More

This is in no way the fanciest hotel, but it is by far the best family choice in Reno. Forget dirty Circus Circus. The Grand Sierra has bowling, arcade, $3 movies, plenty of dining choices, and is AFFORDABLE. That's not even to mention that in the summer you can swim, play 'golf' and remote control boats on the mini lake,... More
