Sise Inn was OK. There was nothing remarkable and a few less than lovely aspects. Mattress was a little lumpy and the blankets were thin. We were 2 couples coming to visit the city for a weekend overnight. The Sise Inn provided nice, comfortable rooms for our stay. The living room and breakfast room are beautiful and we enjoyed playing cards there in the evening. The light continental breakfast was a good start with yogurt and fruit in addition to breads and coffee/tea.

Don’t get me wrong – it’s pleasant enough – this lovely period property has a lot of charm. Certainly it is also in a great location - a pleasant, short walk to the delightful sights of Portsmouth. Great location, excellent decor. We arrived ahead of hurricane Sandy and needed to cancel or second day at short notice, the reception desk was very accommodating. The hotel is in the historic district close to restaurants etc.
