We used a Living Social promotion to explore the area mainly to check out Bruce Springsteen's home area and favorite spots. We arrived on a sunny afternoon and made a bee line to the nearby Sandy Hook Park beach where we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in our beach chairs and watching the constant stream of shipping navigating the NYC harbor. The... More

We took advantage of a Living Social promotion to visit Sandy Hook post-Labor Day. GrandLady is just a short drive from The Hook, right on Rt. 36. The website shows lovely rooms and grounds, but the lady definitely needs a facelift. The house is tastefully - if dully - decorated with antiques. For starters, the dried and plastic flowers need... We had the Carolina Room and it was nice and cozy. The bed a little firm but i was okay with it. the bathroom was right next to the room, which was fine. the bathroom was big and the shower was clean. The shower head actually broke off the holder but was immediately fixed which was awesome! The breakfast was... More

My Wife and I just had a fantastic stay at The "Grand Lady By The Sea." This was an Anniversary getaway away from our wonderful children. We found the house to be beautiful and very well appointed. It's in a great location, just off the causeway to Sandy Hook, and not very far some such towns as Sea Bright and... More

The house is not only a landmark but is charming and decorated with notable fine test. Easy accessible by public transport or car. The town is quiet but picturesque and there are other landmark and natural reserves to visit. The restaurant in town are also good. Me, my spouse and 2 years old felt really comfortable and well received and... More

My stay at the Grand Lady was excellent! I arrived by ferry from NYC and Connie, the host, was particularly helpful and knowledgeable about where to go and what do. Connie is a warm and caring person. Delicious home-cooked breakfast, coffee/tea, orange juice, fresh bread, very filling.... I loved the decor, the comfy bed and pillows, the super clean bathroom.... I just had a lovely weekend at the Grandlady by the sea in Highlands, NJ. The small town is quiet and great to decompress from NYC, and it is conveniently located in the southern tip of Jersey shore. I decided to use the ferry since I don't drive, and for the weekend, it was definitely the wise choice. 45$ round... More

My name is Lina Torres, I live in NYC. I took my boyfriend for his birthday to the Grand Lady this Summer 2012 following a friend's recommendation. I didn't know what to expect and as a true New Yorker I consider myself spoiled and used to the best. This B&B is beyond charming and offers a 5 stars service. The... More

There is no better time to write a review than when you've just returned from a trip and you're still on a high. I just returned from a spectacular weekend at the GrandLady. My friends and I had chosen it because of its perfect location - walking distance to the Seastreak ferry from Manhattan, restaurants, the Twin Lighthouses, and close... More
