If your looking for a quiet, relaxing, get away and don't mind sleeping with geckos and spiders then Mango Bay is perfect. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious, although open to wildlife so don't get upset if you find a gecko trying on your shirt during the night. For some reason we seemed to be the only bungalow without a... More

This resort was definitely conscious of looking after the environment as well as their staff which we liked. Bungalows spacious and comfortable, big balconies, great outdoor shower. The Mosquitos seemed to be controlled with coils and sprays etc. The food was delicious although we stayed for awhile so a bit more variety would have been good. There is a restaurant... More

Me and my partner stayed at the Mango bay for 6 nights and will definitely be going back! Food and drink prices are reasonable, especially given the location. Although if you're not a big eater, i would suggest asking for half portions. we ended up getting one main and sharing it towards the end! It's about 230,000vd (one way) into... More

Mango Bay is situated in the perfect location, it has it's own beach (with it's own mini reef for snorkeling - which I hope can be preserved) beautifully designed buildings, ecologically friendly. I was very impressed with the service and food which was always well prepared. The staff had a birthday cake ready for my girlfriends birthday and organised flowers... More

Hotel shuttle to and from airport was a good plus to the resort. It is located further north of the main area of Phu Quoc but the isolation is a nice aspect of the resort but there a daily shuttle service to the town. We requested many months earlier a nice seaview plantation bungalow and were given the best bungalow... More

I have been to Mango Bay before. It never loses its charm. It is an eco friendly oasis retaining simplicity with charm and comfort. The huts are built with rammed earth.(Any Western Australian will understand what that is.) Hence it is all in sympathy with the surrounding forest. Unfortunately that cannot be said of a lot of the development on... More

This is a great eco-resort. The service is top notch, and the beaches and beach bar are awesome! We had a little health problem on our trip (stitches at a Vietnamese hospital caused at an event not related to the hotel), and the staff was so helpful in dealing with it. The only drawback is that it is hot at... More

After having stayed at another (same price category) resort on Long Beach the move to Mango Bay really fulfilled our expectations of a remote, relaxed, cool and friendly place with fantastic food. We will definitely come back!

We just love it! There is shading trees everywhere, wastebaskets in bamboo discretely placed all around the ground. The bungalows are placed with good space around them. Everything is clean and neat. The beach is cleaned too, but hence the wind and sea brings in garbage every now and then, there may be bits and pieces lying around. Still the... More

No pool and no air conditioning, but a nice location by the sea with lots of space between the bungalows. Comfortable and well kept. The restaurant is in a nice setting by the sea. The food is however the weaker point at Mango Bay. If you do not mind walking 15 minutes on a quiet path, go to Mrs Sakura... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
This is a low density resort, driven by a passion for the environment, intelligent use of materials, and strong support for island culture. Mango Bay is tucked away off the beaten track, with Vietnam's first rammed earth bungalows, enclosed by beach and protected forest. There are no air-cons, television sets or telephones in the rooms for a true fusion with nature at the island's first eco-friendly resort. All rooms and bungalows have open sea views and offer mosquito nets. ... more   less
