The smoke detector needed batteries. Front desk told me that I would have to wait until morning. .... OR I could change it myself. So I changed it myself.... No offer for another room ... nothing except when I complained she said the manager said to get my things and go?????? What the crap?

My wife and I were travelling from Flagstaff and needed a place to stay on the road. We have been staying in Days Inns for the last few stays and phoned ahead to reserve a room from the road. When we arrived we both looked at each other and went, "Uh Oh." The hotel is just off old 66 right...

We reserved this room through Travelocity thinking it would be a decent hotel. Instead we paid $32 MORE than the price advertised on the marquis, for a room that was way below normal standards of cleanliness and decency! We paid for 2 queens and got double beds, the towels were stained and there was a rotting burrito in the microwave...

I stayed here for one night and got a renovated room on the first floor. The room was spacious, and it was clean, not something you can always count on in a Days Inn.

We drove into Gallup in a blizzard, road weary and trusting that this Days Inn would be as nice as other Days Inns in which we had stayed . I should have known when we approached the desk. This is a copy of the e-mail I sent to the manager:
Our recent interactions regarding my reservation for the night of Oct. 3 were very unsettling. I did not realize that my reservation was nonrefundable, primarily because I have never heard of this type of policy before. After searching for this policy on the Days Inn website, as well...

This was a big mistake. There was a rodeo in town and not many places had availability. We took the room only to find the place filthy. Half of the bulbs where burned out and the wall plugs where falling out of the walls. It was a dark, dirty room. I was wondering if they place the bad bulbs in...

Room was fine. Nothing special, just okay. The main thing we wanted was a heated pool to enjoy with out 2 year old boy and a jaccuzzi to relax in. Wneh we checked in, they said "yes the pool is heated and we have a jaccuzzi". Well, the pool was heated to a whopping 76 degrees; uncomfortably cool. When I...

If you're travelling with a pet, you'd be better off staying in a barn! The rooms they stick pet-owners in reek. The smell was only the start though - the bathroom floor was sticky, the sink was clogged, the sheets were stained and ripped, the "queen" size beds were only doubles, and the sorry excuse for a blanket on the...
