We spent two nights at Idube in early April. We could not believe how clsoe they got us to the aminals. We watched Leopards hunt, got within a few metres of a pack of lions as the ate dinner - moms & cubs together, we saw numrous elephants so close you could smell their breath. We had always heard that... More

I just spent 3 days in april at Idube and really enjoyed it. Its a smallish lodge, with very nice bungalows, comfortable and "african style" decorated. In the big garden, you can observe nyala, ververt monkeys, warthogs and birds. Food is very tasty. The main thing is the wildlife, and I had excellent sightings whilst staying at Idube. Andries (our ranger)... More

I just stayed at Idube (3/27/13-3/30/13)and I had such an amazing time. Upon arrival we were welcomed and given a late lunch and informed on the camp and schedule. We had Rob for a ranger/driver the whole time and he was just great. He and Louie (spotter) were able to make the drives so amazing as the spotted things that... More

The four nights at Idube were the absolute highlight of our three week SA trip. Promise and Titus made our game drives unforgettable with multiple sightings of the big 5 and much more (wild dogs, hyenas, black mamba, zebras, giraffes). Incredible how those guys managed to see the most interesting situations including leopards eating a kill in the trees and... More

We had an amazing time as part of our honeymoon at Idube. Saw everything we wanted to and more. We didn't care so much about the big five but we really wanted hyenas which there were just hanging outside of camp!! Our room was epic as had a private pool and its bloody hot there so literally sat in it... More

Me and my husband celebrated our 5th anniversary and decided that we were going all out! Absolutely worth the trip for a weekend in the bush, as Sabi Sand is the ULTIMATE bush/safari experience in South Africa, no other game reserve comes close to it! Big 5 sightings are guaranteed, we got to see 2 lioness with their nursing cubs... More

I booked one day at Idube for my first year anniversary and I must say I wasn't particularly impressed. Everything was what you would expect, the game drives were OK without seeing too much, the accommodation was clean neat, the staff were friendly but there was something missing. I only realised what was missing at dinner. The lodge caters for... More

This was our first visit to a safari lodge and we could not help having high expectations. These expectations were surpassed by Idube. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They were well managed and understood good customer service. Our room was comfortable and smart, immaculately maintained by the efficient cleaners. All meals were imaginative and delicious, especially the evening... More

I did a lot of research on where I wanted to stay for a safari - I narrowed it down to Sabi Sands, and then further down to Idube based on price, location, sightings, shared reserves & reviews. My friend traveling me was reluctant as it was higher priced than others she looked at, but after an amazing stay, agreed... More
