I think they must've fixed the place up since the bad reviews were written, because my room was very nice. The location is great and the breakfast was very good, too. It DOES still have a pretty lousy old carpet in the lobby, and yes, the floors are uneven. But as for the floor, well, it's a very old house,... More

Tunnicliff Inn is a good place to stay when visiting Cooperstown; it is within a few hundred feet of the Baseball Hall of Fame, beautiful Lake Otsego and many shops and restaurants. Room was spacious, with a radiator, window ac, very small bath with tiny shower,(other rooms in the front of the inn are larger and have a better view. There... More

We were upgraded to a king size room on the second floor. It was a very spacious, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated room. We borrowed one of the many DVD's available from the front desk (not a whole lot of night life in Cooperstown this time of year). Breakfast was really good: yougurt, fruit, bacon, sausage, really good mexican style scrambled... More

Arriving in Cooperstown after a very long drive, we asked a worker at an Info booth on Main St. where was a good place to stay for the evening. We asked about the Otesaga ($350-400) and she suggested the Tunnicliff which was about 40 feet away. Not fancy, very old but clean warm and reasonably priced. Real fun! More

We stayed 2 nights while visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame. We loved the location. Easy walking around town for eating, shopping, and the Hall of Fame. Close to lake. Some may like a more modern hotel but this hotel was perfect for us. The room was adequate, clean, and affordable. Tthe breakfast good! The manager made check in very... More

The Tunnicliff Inn has about the best location you could want in Cooperstown--very short walking distances to almost everything you would want to see...and there is free parking. The Inn is cobbled together from at least two older buildings. Rooms reflect the yesteryear feeling of the place, but they have full service Direct TV, DVD players and a DVD library.... More

My wife and I stayed in this inn during a recent trip to Cooperstown. The location is absolutely perfect. You are within a short walk to all that Cooperstown has to offer. The hotel itself, though, was less than impressive. Our room sloped, and the rug and decor looked a bit dated. The restaurant was not that inviting, and we... More

Our suite was 2 connecting rooms, not what anyone would consider a suite, everything sloped, rooms had not been redecorated since the 1970s. While inn is in an old building, it has no charm, just an old building with dowdy rooms and tiny showers. Breakfast was premade food, dried out, fruit good and plenty of coffee. The desk manager was... More

A little expensive, but you're paying for the location. Easy walking distance to both the Hall of Fame and the lake. Clean, comfortable room. Excellent breakfast included in the price. More

It's amazing to me that the most reviews for this property are either "5 star - best ever" or "1 star - worst ever." The truth, as always, lies somewhere in between. LOCATION: This hotel is essentially across the street from the Baseball Hall of Fame and a short walk from restaurants and shops, which makes it's location perfect...well sort... More
