This is our second stay at Badala and all the staff were delighted to see us back again. We stayed in G Block and our room was clean, clean towels every day and a good hot working shower. For the money we paid for this 2 weeks holiday I can honestly say there was nothing to complain about. Like a... More

Have just returned from another 2 week break back at Badala. Staff were delighted to see us back again.Breakfast has improved from last year.Security was fantastic - no locals traipsing through hotel now and all staff have ID cards. Holiday only marred by the fact that there were Reps staying there from the Dutch company - Corendon - one Rep... More

We stayed for a week and were worried because of the reviews..But unfounded had a nice room , cleaned daily by happy staff. The pool area was clean with a bar , the only downside was lack of entertainment but theres plenty within walking distance . We were B & B with different choice each day not 5 star but... More

We were there a year ago and I see that there have been renovations since. To me it was very cheap and I did not expect much - for a week with flights from Gatwick it was £334 including transfers. But as we live in Ireland we needed flights to London, overnight both ways, and with spending money which was... More

We booked a room for 5 nights - it was cheap and I expected it to be basic but on seeing the room I burst into tears it was absolutely filthy with the furniture was falling to pieces. I paid for a double but it was 2 single beds (with single bedding) pushed together. The bathroom was disgustingly filthy with... More

After 2 excellent holidays at Badala Park, I was disappointed that my usual travel company had removed the Badala Park from this year's portfolio. As alternative providers only flew from Gatwick, I opted instead to stay at the nearby Palm Beach hotel (see review). I made daily trips back to Badala Park though to greet friends made from previous years... More

We choose for a short and cheap stay in The Gambia. This hotel was the cheapest but the friendliest ever. Ofcourse we didn't expect luxury, but the rooms were spacious and clean ! Who needs warm water anyway when it's 35 degrees. Pool is nice and the beach very nearby. We had a loveky time

I have stayed at Badala Park Hotel many times as well as other venues in The Gambia. It gets a bit of bad press but you have to be realistic. The main Tour Operators screw the hotels down to the ground over room rates and so it is difficult to keep things up to standard. The staff do their best... More
