This is as close to camping as you can get without actually camping, we arrived in the afternoon and were directed to our tent by the nice man working in the office. The tent is attached to a permanent bathroom with western toilet and shower. He tent itself was a little cramped with 2 twin beds and mosquito netting. To... More

The scenery is beautiful and the camp is reasonably close to Twyfelfontein to take in the fantastic rock paintings there. However, the place is overpriced - they charge about double the cost for accommodation and food than other comparable places. Breakfast and dinner were bad quality for that money and they tried to charge fully for a four year old... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night in early May 2012, having deliberately chosen to 'rough it' a bit compared to the relatively more luxurious other places we had booked to stay on our trip around Namibia. We're not brave enough to actually sleep outside but this was the next best thing, with only canvas separating us from... More

We arrived to be greeted by Suzy, the meercat. Good tented cabins with every convenience. Friendly greeting. Excellent dinner and breakfast . Wonderful African choir serenade at breakfast from the staff. An excellent spot to stay overnight in Damaraland

Damaraland camp is fantastic. the location amazing. Maggie and her staff do their best to make you feel "the guest" they expected to have at their place. You fel at home, but with a lot of fun and friendship. Dinner at the boma's, breakfast prepared with care, attention and elegance on the top of a hill to let us enjoy... More

We spent 1 night here on our way to Etosha. We arrived at about 11am and checked in. The tent was comfortable but very hot - I can't imagine what it would be like in summer. We went out for the day to see al the sights and had lunch at Twyfelfontein Lodge which was nice. When we returned it... More

We stayed in Xaragu Camp for two nights and found it a very comfortable place to stay. The permanent tents are clean and showering in the semi-outdoor bathroom was a nice way to end the day. Oil lamps upon returning to your room after dinner was a nice gesture - very cosy. Food simple but good and the staff are... More

We stayed at Xaragu in September 2011 for one night. The campsite is very beautiful and clean. We loved the open air showers and toilets. All in all a great experience! Nice bar to sit and have a windhoek lager :) The "street" towards the campite quite bumpy but ok. We found the villagers living at the bottom of the... More

we did stay here 1 night. because we wanted to see the bushman paintings. Beautifull paintings. we visited the "museum"at 16.00h. Everything was red. Very impressive scenery. At night the gecko's. Don't get fooled by them. The braai was very good. A nice atmosphere in he middle of nowhere. The tent, what shall I say, just tents. no electricity. Impossible... More
