The hotel is nice, but the noise is terrible. There are musicians that play forever. Good if you are here for fun. Not acceptable if you have business to do. It also seems impossible to talk to the receptionist by phone.

The hotel is beautiful...a former convent converted into a hotel...built in the classic style with rooms around an inner courtyard and others facing the street...two sides of the hotel face public squares and the other two face streets...the main problem, however, is the church across the street that must be the city's timekeeper because it tolls the hours every fifteen... Very charming colonial style building. Location is great, service is very good. If you have to stay at Queretaro go there! I doubt you find something better than Gran Hotel. Moderators want me to write 200 character essay, but there is no need in it. It is high quality hotel by both European and American standards. I had a great... More

This hotel is right in the middle of Queretaro and its excellent restuarants and atmosphere. If you want to experience Queretaro and be able to walk around, this hotel is an excellent option. Service is good, rooms are comfy, ac works great, rooms have fans, great showers, fast internet, etc. Since you are in the middle of the city some... More

I have stayed in this Hotel around 35 times due to the fact that we have a business in the Centro Historico of Queretaro. Actually this Hotel was built after our business was running and I had the chance to visit this property before the construction. What they did is a really great architecture job. They mixed the the old... More

Perfect location and historic building. The hotel is 5* style, really. Great modern rooms in old-charming building. A bit pricy but it's worth it for a romantic stay.

This hotel is magnificent and well appointed. Beautifully renovated, preserving the old, but adding all the modern conveniences and comforts. Charming, without sacrifice. Beautiful tiles, arched brick ceilings, wrought iron balconies. Very friendly and helpful staff. In the middle of the historic section of the city which feels like being in Spain or many places in Europe. But, be advised... More

I have stayed in older hotels but this was the first one which was in a Mexican Colonial Landmark located on the Public Square of Queretaro. The hotel does not have any public parking so my associates dropped me off at front. The lobby is marble with a large marble staircase going to second floor as well as an elevator.... More

Nice hotel in a great location between the two main squares. Rooms were clean and spacious with small balconies over looking the square. Nice selecion of restaurants and bars close by. However, the buffet breakfast (if you can call it that) was exremely poor. What food there was was cold and there were not enough tables in the small dining... More
