This little place is very clean and well-maintained, beds are comfortable, bathroom very clean and lots of hot water, easy to get to, the owner is friendly and accommodating, the view of the mountains is enchanting, and the price was right.

I have been going to TAP for 9 years and this hotel is the best and closest, only 1.5 miles from the mountain. Susan who runs the establishment is friendly, accomodating and simply awesome. Hotel is sparkling clean and offers a free continental breakfast. I wouldn't stay any where else.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights at the peak of ski season. We had no trouble finding the place. He booked the room, so at first I thought it was going to be more like a motel. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it was much, much nicer. Our room was immaculately clean and nicely... More

As others have said, an amazing find! The rooms are sparkling clean, and the location for skiing Hunter Mountain could not be better. Aside from the great location, clean and comfortable rooms, I have to say that the owners are extemely helpful and go out of their way to make sure that anything they can do to make the stay... More

Our group stayed here for first Bluestock festival. We shared a two bedroom suite which was very nice. Complete kitchen, sitting area in addition to the bedrooms so plenty of room to spread out. Although our weekend event was shortened with hurricane Irene coming in, the hotel did the best they could since we had power outages, etc.

The lodge is very close to hunter mountain ski resort, which made getting to and from the mountain a cinch. The price was affordable and the accomodations were adequate. A simple breakfast bar was available in the morning. Nothing about the hotel was above and beyond, but its location and affordability made it one of the best locations in the... More

I stayed at the Mountain View with my wife for a long weekend in Feb. As far as I'm concerned, it was the best deal on the mountain. Our room was immaculate, the owners were kind and courteous, we recived a complementary continental breakfast, and we got it all for probably the lowest price on the mountaintop. Next time we... After feeling dirty and ripped off in other Catskills motels, I'm glad I found Mt. View Lodge. I hope to become a regular guest. This tiny motel is convenient to skiing or hiking the Catskills. The carpet, beds, sink, shower, toilet and tables were very clean with new furniture and decorations -- much nicer than I expected for the price... More

Small motel with immaculate rooms and very friendly and helpful owners. Very close to Hunter Mt, about a mile. You actually can see some of the trails from your room. A simple continental breakfast is included. Beds were comfortable and plenty of hot water. They run a great midweek deal in Feb. Well worth the money!

We were a family of two adults and two teens and found this mom-and-pop place on the internet after searching for a long time for a place we could afford that wasn't a dive. We were able to take advantage of their special mid-week rate of $40 per night. If all you are looking for is cleanliness and the basics,... More
