I want to give this place the benefit of the doubt; from reading past TripAdvisor reviews it appears that things have improved greatly with the new owners. However, they still have a way to go. First, the good: The room I stayed in (#4, Collins Room) was lovely. The bed was *fantastic* -- very comfortable, with wonderful linens. I did... More

This beautiful Inn right in the middle of Millerton has been taken over by new ownership. The new owners have really livened up the lobby area and are on their way to renovating the Inn. The rooms are charming. There is always coffee available downstairs, which is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the scenery and the town. The... More

Recently stayed there and have stayed there for years and since new owners overtook a few weeks ago, there have already been many improvements. New linens, it is nice and cleaner, and cards in the rooms letting us know there will be renovations soon. Very good customer service, owners were friendly and accommodating.

I owe the prep school parents a warning. NEVER stay here. Wow. There was not one thing about it I can say. It started at 6 when I had 4 , actually 4 missed calls saying where was I. Obviously they wanted to leave the front desk. Then, I was the only guest(hard to guess why), listening to a new... More

Simmons Way is sorry this guest did not have the experience she was looking for. After speaking with her after the fact, I have assured her that we are brand new owners and are making updates to the building by the spring. The room was clean, I can assure you of that, however, it is a old Victorian house. We... More

Massively overpriced. New owners don't show any interest in the guests. Squeaky floors really irritating. Rooms no cleaned properly. And come on ~ being proud of the fact that there are no TVs in the guest rooms is so outdated and overrated!! Wifi was also not working. Stay somewhere else.....

It was not my choice to stay here. Was booked by my boss while we were working in the area. The best thing I can say was there is great water pressure in the shower. The room was a bit cluttered with furniture that is old and out dated as was the room and the public areas of the inn.... More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights in October of 2011. It was fine, but for the price, not particularly good value. The beds were not very comfortable and overall the Inn could have been tidier and cleaner. There was definitely a run-down feel about it. Some people might find it charming and quirky, we just found it... More

I chose Simmonds Way because it was a close location to my daughter who had been working in America for 3 months and I have to say I am really glad I did!. Jay and Martha Reynolds made us feel really welcome at their beautiful home. If you want to experience a warm, homely atmosphere, this is a fantastic place... More

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Simmons' Way. It was a wonderful location with restaurants and shopping within walking distance, and breathtaking drives and day trips in the surrounding area. The house was impressive; our room was comfortable; dinner in the adjacent restaurant was creative; and breakfast was very nice. There were a few things that would have... More

My wife and I stayed at the Simmon's Way Village Inn on a recent Saturday night. Both the location and rooms are very nice. However, we were made to feel very unwelcome. We arrived around 11 pm on Saturday night -- later than we had agreed. And because I hadn't brought their phone number with me, we failed to call... More
