Having stayed at many b&b's, I must say that Wagener Estate ranks high on my list. My fianceè and I had a wonderful stay at this historic inn. The innkeeper was friendly and helpful with suggestions of resturantes, and directing us to local hiking trails. Stayed 2 nights at the Wagener Estate while touring wineries in the region. The Inn is in a very historic home (1796 I believe) but lacks charm. Many of the furnishings in the bedroom seemed out of place - neither antique nor new - rather just dated. Nothing was wrong with them, they just seems out of place and inappropriate. We had a marvellous stay at this B&B, although it was only one night. the room, the Seyval suite, was very spacious and truly met our needs with the private bathroom and a clean and comfy bed. We had a wonderful experience at Wagener Estate B&B. This is a beautiful well maintained Historic Inn on very spaceious grounds with alot of space to walk around and explore or just to sit and relax outside. We stayed a couple of nights at this B&B in the fall while in town visiting the wineries. Although the inn keeper was pleasant, she offered the minimum necessary information. We stayed in the Niagara Room. The bed and armoire were beautiful, however, the mattress was pretty bad, as we both ended up in a "pit" in the middle of it. The lighting in the room was dim, and the bathroom was small with a very small shower stall. Breakfast was good, but were not offered more than what was put on the table.
