We have been staying at Bunker Hill Inn for 10 years. It was initially an attempt to avoid the high prices of Saratoga in August. Since then we have never looked elsewhere. Clean, comfortable beds, great breakfasts, friendly hostess. You can't go wrong!

The greater Washington County (Salem/Cambridge/Greenwich) NY area is a very special place, with a great mix of artists, people making wonderful local food (especially, but not only cheese), farms, and beautiful country side. There are many different events through the year, too. If you want to visit, I doubt there's a better place to stay than the Bunker Hill Inn.... More

Laura is an incredible cook and host. She's genuinely friendly and helpful without being overbearing. The rooms are clean and tastefully yet simply furnished. Her grounds and the surroundings are beautiful countryside and she has a great half hour loop that you can hike on her land for some even better views. She is an excellent and accommodating cook. She... More

We were made very welcome and felt part of Laura's 'guest family'! The bathroom and bedroom were clean and simply decorated. All around this home were 'lovely things'! Beautiful furniture and interesting objects along with some stunning pottery; family heirlooms. It was a relaxed atmosphere and we chatted with Laura and her other guests over a delicious and generous lingering... More

We had a wonderful stay at this country home. It's a great place to enjoy rural northeast New York, especially during fall foliage season. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful and meeting guests from England during our brief stay there was a special treat.

Laura Coldwell is a perfect hostess (her breakfasts are great!), and she made this Georgian-period farmhouse into a comfortable, period-appropriate inn, without fussiness or overly-fastidiousness. The location on a back road, with views of Vermont hills from the fields make it highly roam-able. We have traveled to the most exotic places and stayed in the best B & B's and... More

Bunker Hill provides a family atmosphere in a wonderful rural setting of upstate NY. Laura goes out of her way to ensure you are at home in her old, family heirloom home. Her breakfasts are hearty and delicious. She also offers dinners which are very good if you are interested. Laura, having grown up in the area, knows it thoroughly... More

Spent six days at the Bunker Hill Inn in Salem New York. The Inn is in Washington County, a hundred miles or so north of Albany. Still a rural area, the rolling farm land around the inn was beautiful. My wife and I drove all over the region in our Miata. It was to be a fall foliage trip but... More
