I've stayed at the Turf and Spa many times. It's always clean and I love the mineral spa. It's a short walk into town and the owners always have great tips for good places to eat. A great place to stay.

For a last minute find during racing season, this isn't a bad find. The rooms were not dirty, and the price was decent vs. the major hotel chains. It was very close to downtown, walking took only a few minutes, plus the turf and spa has an outdoor pool which is nice addition.

The owner/lady at the front desk is miserable. She should not be in the hotel business. Instead she should sell, retire and become a hermit. She is rude and miserable. Don't try winning her over with manners and kindness, she's a dragon. When she's rude to you don't take it personal she's like that to everyone. She is not prejudice... More

The lady/owner is miserable and needs to remove herself from hotel service and live miserably in a a/c house far away from society. If she is rude and disrespectful don't take it personal she's like that to everyone, you didn't do anything wrong. I will never stay there again.
