The setting was perfect. They cater for large groups or even perfect for a romantic getaway. Rooms and kitchen perfectly equip. Owners very friendly and we had an amazing breakfast. Close to the Royal Natal NP. A must stay at when in Northern Drakensberg area.

Spent a weekend at Berghouse and Cottages and came away feeling very relaxed. I particulary enjoyed the fireplace inside as one of the nights was really cold. Great panoramic views of the northern Drakensberg, and rustic yet comfortable accommodation. Overseas visitors might find the 3km dirt road somewhat daunting, depending upon what vehicle is being driven, because of its steepness in some places and hairpin bends. Watch out if you're considering going horse riding, the horses are somewhat wild.

Beautiful location with a quaint and charasmatic stone cottage. we stayed in the Thulathula cottage for three nights. The owner and his wife gave us a warm welcome and provided us with useful information about visiting the Royal Natal National Parc.
