“Very nice chalets but beach was disappointing”

Vila Mato Verde is a nice pousada far away from all the noise of the 2nd beach. When we arrived on the island by boat a guy carried our luggage ( 7 Reais per bag) on a pushcart to the 2nd beach. A "taxi" took us to the chalets. The rooms are nice and clean with mosquito nets in front... More

“Lovely little piece of paradise”

We stayed at Villa Mato Verde for three days in December. We knew nothing about it, except what we could gleam from their website. It turns out, it's a charming pousada (Inn), with little rooms, almost cabins. The little restraurant is quite good, they make potent drinks and the breakfast (included) is yummy.
