We traveled to Woodstock to bury the love of my life who was also my friend's oldest son. Twin Gables provided us with the serenity we needed with the convenience of walking to local shopping and great restaurants to turn a mission into a great memory. The room was clean and cozy and the beds very comfy. It was a... More

All in all an extraordinary experience. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and the other guests were quite interesting. This hotel is, in my opinion, the best place to stay when visiting Woodstock, as it is in the center of town and in walking distance to everything. The hotel makes a very romantic getaway. Look forward to my next stay.

If you're going to Woodstock, you can't beat Twin Gables. Great location on the main street, friendly staff, good breakfast, nice rooms. And the price is right, much more reasonable than at least some of their competition. There are good restaurants within walking distance and many more within a short drive.

I stayed there just for one night but could have stayed there longer if I had more time. The house on Tinker St was easy to find and lovely to stay in. The service was great and the rooms were clean, its a bed and breakfast so don't expect a red carpet or someone holding the door. Its a woodstock... More

We will be staying for the third time at Twin Gables this weekend. Last visit was two weeks ago. We travel from the Berkshires to Woodstock frequently for the Midnight Rambles at Levon Helm's studio (which are continuing, even though Levon has passed), and we've discovered how much more pleasant it is to spend the night in Woodstock, rather than... I needed to be in Woodstock for an early morning meeting and stayed at Twin Gables. Lori, who greeted us on arrival, was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was very clean and comfortable and adequately appointed. The continental breakfast the next morning was prepared timely, was fresh and complete. Overall, the inn was exactly as described and is highly... More

This is my favorite place to stay in Woodstock. I love its charm & character, location is perfect and quite reasonable for the price. This home was built in the 1800's and once you've entered its doors, you feel like you've stepped back in time, from it's parlor with lace window adornments and quaint flower wallpaper, writing desk, comfy sofas,... From the antique furnishings, to the cozy fireplace in the big living room to the day round tea and coffee, this is a lovely and delightful, totally convenient Inn in the town of Woodstock. It is very tasteful and has none of the dusty shabbiness that other B&B's can have. The prices are great for what is offered, the staff... More

There are some B&B's where you sense the proprietors are proud of their lodgings and the service and hospitality they provide. Then there are others that extract the maximum price they can, knowing that for whatever circumstances, you won't be able to easily cancel or find another place - this place is the latter. Booked suite 12 @ $200, and... More

Wow, I've never been personally attacked in a review before. Our king suite is a new guest room which I converted about two years ago from being the owner's quarters into the king suite that you and your partner stayed. At $184 per night - our most expensive room - with a king poster bed, couch, chairs, private bathroom, free... More

Very disappointe, especially after reading some glowing reports. Payed $140 +tax via Booking.Com for room 5 but saw the rate at $119+tax on brochure and their own web site after we arrived. In my opinion this is not a typical bed and breakfast. The Twin Gables "mantra" on their brochure states "Our home is your home" yet this is not... More
