This is an older property but is in a excellent location and is very well maintained.The rooms are very well equipped. The rooms are kept very clean. All room ocean front and most ocean view. Never heard a sound from the rooms next door or the halls. .

Typical beach room, but all ocean front with a nice balcony. Very, very clean room even in a smoking room. Great customer service at the front desk. Had fried flounder take out from Big Daddy's in Kure Beach, and it was delicious despite the reviews. Huge, thick and fluffy!!! Have a Pain Killer at the Tiki Bar. :)

We have stayed at the Golden Sands for a good number of years. We rarely stay in the "peak season" but usually enjoy the location for a spring, fall or even winter retreat. Overall good value and decent place to stay. Older rooms but nice location on the beach. Tiki bar and grill had good good and service. Nice to have an in door pool. A real hot tub would have been nice rather than a couple jets at the corner end of the pool. All in all We enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I decided to visit the beach for a couple of nights just to get away. We paid for 2 nights at the Golden Sands at Carolina Beach. Rates were reasonable, staff was very friendly and the hotel was very clean. Great ocean view and comfortable beds. We decided to stay 3 more nights! Had the best vacation.
