The hotel is located in downtown Charlotte and is within walking distance to many locations. I was greeted by a very pleasant receptionist and the check-in was very efficient. The room was very typical for a Hampton Inn. The room was very comfortable and the bedding was clean and nice. The exercise area is a converted room. The equipment was... More

The heater in my room was too loud. It switches on and off throughout the night, and each time it switched on it woke me up. The building is not particularly secure. You do not need a key to get to the floors, and you do not need a key to access the parking lot from the floors. Breakfast is... More

I booked this not knowing area that well for 2 days of our vacation, its about a 5 min walk to almost everything. If you are going to any of the sporting events it's perfect. As for the hotel, it was a bit older and the room air conditioner was garbage and noisy. Most of staff was so nice, especially... More

I have been debating for months whether or not to write this, but I think travelers should hear about my experience. I travel for work weekly, and I'm a dedicated HHonors customer. This Hampton Inn shares a parking garage with the HGI. Try that instead, or better yet, the Hilton a few blocks away. Location is fine, just a few... More

Hampton Inn always meets a certain standard, regardless of location. The beds are comfortable, the rooms clean, the breakfast has good choices - both healthy and not. We were there for 5 days in November - part of the time with family. We found the location to be fine and the hotel staff very accommodating. We liked the free parking... More

The hotel has a convenient location in Uptown, right next to the Nascar Hall of Fame and 5 minutes' walk from the convention centre. There are many restaurants, museums and attractions within walking distance, but there are few shops in Charlotte city centre. To get to the hotel from the airport, take the Sprinter bus ($2.40) and then the hotel... More

In town for a conference at the convention center, the location was great. I was upgraded to a nicer room, had a DVD player, and a very nice staff. The breakfast was the typical Hampton fare, and i always enjoy and appreciate it. Unfortunately, there were a few things that made my stay just average. The first three nights of... More
