We checked in during the first week of the season so the place was rather empty, once we checked in someone took us over to our cabin (off river), the cabin had a nice screened in porch two of my kids (19-15) quickly made themselves at home in the loft (2 full beds) my third child used the pull out... The name has changed to "Yogi in the Smokies" campground. I arrived after the office had closed, but before I could begin to wonder where to check for my key someone pulled up on a golf cart and handed me the envelope with the key and showed me to my cabin. This campground has campsites and cabins for rent. The... More

We stayed at the campground in July 2012. We have stayed at this campground several times in the past, the last being summer of 2001. I was shocked when I saw how much smaller the camp sites were. Since 2001, they have added several cabins and sites. In addition, the roads or sites had not been graveled in some time.... More

Wow, what a beautifull park! I recommend the "back" of the campground. We stayed in cabin 214. The kids loved it (10yrs and7yrs) we had only been there about 30 mins and they were already asking if we could come back. It was so relaxing eating breakfast on the front porch in the swing. We only stayed 2 nights, next... More

Camp staff screwed up our reservation twice and were completely unwilling and unable to fix it. They gave the last night of our cabin rental away to someone else, and then have our replacement cabin away again. They expected us to check out and hold all of our stuff for 3 hours in the middle of the last day of... More

Recently we stayed at Yogi in the Smokies with some close friends for 5 nights. In total there were 5 teens and 6 adults over 3 sites (1 RV, 3 tents, 1 pop-up). The first few days all seemed well. We were pleased with the sites and amenities of the campground. The issue lies with the staff. They are rude... More

Just returned from a 4 nite stay for a family vacation. We had rented 2 camp sites and 2 cabins for our extended family group. Coming from sweltering weather we were delighted with the cool evenings. The campsites were excellent riverside. However, we had no children younger than 4 yrs. in our party. There was a steep embankment which would... More

My family is new to the camping life. We just recently purchased our first camper for our family. We still have a lot to learn. We went camping at Yogi with a large group and expected to have great family fun and we did with our girls and our friends. However I have never experienced such rudeness from the staff.... More

This was our 2nd year staying at Yogi in the Smokies. We rented out 4 separate cabins and 2 RV sites for our very large family gathering. We love Yogi in the Smokies! It's great family fun with never a dull moment! They offer an arts pavilion for the kids (and adults) to do crafts, watch movies, and play games.... More

We took our 3 grandsons to this campground and had a small cabin which was smaller than expected. All the roads were dirt and dusty. Lighting inside the cabin was very dim. The pool was very nice the children enjoyed the interaction with "Yogi & Boo Boo". Campground was quite a distance from the city of Cherokee.
