I live in Belhaven, about one and 1/2 hours away, and arriving at PGV at night, I don’t want to drive home in the dark. The 5th Street Inn is the perfect solution. Or if you’re doing business at the University or attending a play at the Wright Auditorium. In a stately building in a leafy neighborhood not far from downtown. Yoghurt, fruit, coffee etc available for breakfast or anytime. On-site parking. Very private. This is maybe my fifth stay in four years. I recommend it highly.

I had a wonderful stay at the 5th Street Inn. The room was bright and very large. The bed was comfy. It was easy to check in and out. I appreciated all the texts. My only recommendation is to add nut free, coconut free granola for the yogurt.

I stayed overnight in Greenville between appointments on Monday and Tuesday. I’ve stayed here before, but this time I took advantage of the lovely weather and the beautiful backyard for several hours after check-in. As always, good information via text, clean and comfortable room, and the best neighborhood in Greenville.

This was my second visit to the Inn. Like before, check-in and out was easy, contactless, but guided every step of the way by regular texts from the “Innterns.” They contacted me several times to see if all was well. The room was comfortable, the fruit, yoghurt, juice, etc. breakfast was fine, with excellent coffee. The Inn is located in the heart of old elegant Greenville, across from the original University campus, and only a few blocks from downtown. I’m happy with them and I’ll come back. This is a superior alternative to the cheap motels and the chain hotels that Greenville otherwise has to offer. A little more expensive but well worth it.

The is a very nicely furnished and comfortable B&B. It is located next to the ECU campus and thus excellent for anyone visiting the campus. All the rooms are upstairs and there is no elevator so this would not be suitable for someone unable to navigate the steps. The breakfast is good but could be better.

You can't beat the hospitality and the location. The Inn was clean, the owner very pleasant and informative but not overbearing the way some innkeepers can be. We stayed in 3rd floor chancellor room- very nice and private with bed, sitting room and bathroom. Breakfast was great and cookies at night in the kitchen. Location is across the street from ECU- perfect for us visiting the university. Great dinner within walking distance at Starlight Cafe. Would definitely come back here. Also very reasonably priced.

Stayed here while in town for an ECU on-campus event. Chris, innkeeper and owner, was a terrific host and very accommodating of our late arrival and need to leave our car parked there for most of the next day (even after we had checked out). It felt more like staying with a family friend than a business. Breakfast was top-notch, and the rooms were charming, in good condition, and very clean. The complementary WiFi was robust and reliable. It's also a GREAT VALUE: Since it seems that PRICE info is not directly reported by these owners, I'll go ahead and "reveal" that we paid: We got "the Chancellor Suite" [top floor, HUGE, with a large sitting area and two TVs] for $129/night PLUS another room (on 2nd floor) which cost only $50/nt because we had booked more than one room. In other words, if your traveling party needs more than one room, 5th St. offers a BIG discount on the 2nd (and 3rd ..4th, etc).. ] So, bottom-line: 1st-Class, convenient accommodations with thoughtful and considerate management for just under $200 (2 rooms)-- that is VERY tough to beat. We plan to stay nowhere else on future visits to Greenville. :-)…

I recently traveled to Greenville on business and was pleasantly surprised to be accommodated in this lovely inn, instead of a hotel. Chris, the owner, was very accommodating! I was greeted in the nicely appointed room with a written greeting. The bed was quite comfortable. The bathroom, while not large, was clean and well-maintained. There was even wine out for the guests to enjoy in the evening! The street outside and the Inn was very quiet. The only downside was that the flat screen TV is smaller than in most hotels and was not hi-def, but perfectly adequate. The inn is immediately across the street from ECU and walking distance to some of the downtown area. I would definitely stay here again!

The owner is a great guy, who is very concerned with making sure that his guests are comfortable. Lovely rooms, great breakfast and across the street from the campus. A great place to stay when visiting ECU. You can't beat 5th Street Inn.

We were in the Professor's Room, which was immaculate and comfortable, although the bathroom was about the size of a closet. The house is well-maintained and well-located, with a comfortable, screened porch which we made good use of. The innkeeper seemed to be distracted, every time we had contact with him, although he did recommend an excellent restaurant for dinner. Breakfast was pretty bad. When we came downstairs in the morning, there was one other couple at the table. No innkeeper visible, and no OJ left, no hot water for tea, and not much to eat.
