Locally owned, not a chain. Vintage charm, unique, reminiscent of Adirondacks cabins. Rooms are immaculate, owner onsite and working daily, also surprisingly quiet. Very convenient location. Near Carl Sandburg's home with its famous goats, the beautiful stone St. John in the Wilderness Episcopal church, Historic Hendersonville downtown, and others including some really great local restaurants. Great for a long weekend... More

Just got home from spending 2 nights at the CedarWood Inn....what a great time! I almost cancelled my reservations after seeing the comments from the previous traveller and am so glad that I didn't. If you want a cookie cutter hotel like the Marriott or Hampton Inn, then this is not the place for you. If you want a small... More

Thank you for your wonderful comments about your trip back to the 1950's at CedarWood Inn. It's rewarding to hear our efforts to recreate WNC accommodations atmosphere have been successful. One of the important ingredients of this era was taking the time to get to know other people, where they come from, where they are headed and how we can... More

We stayed here for one night while we were in Hendersonville for the weekend. The location is great, very close to downtown Hendersonville and Flat Rock!! The rooms very small but clean and decorated cute. Unfortunately, we couldn't figure out how to turn the heat on so we were cold!! We have a 7 month old so it really sucked!!!... More

Thank you for taking the time to provide comments on your stay at the CedarWood Inn. Of course we wish all comments were positive but that would not give us the opportunity to improve. After seeing your comments we investigated the room you were in. Water heater was tested and working perfectly, water temp for each of the 2 rooms... More

Based on Tripadvisor ratings I made a reservation. It’s hard to understand this inn being rated number 1 in Hendersonville. For starters, it’s in Flat Rock. I don’t know how the jurisdictions draw their maps here, but it’s one mile from downtown Flat Rock and three miles from downtown Hendersonville. I was very disappointed when I arrived. At 6:30 in... My friend and I stayed at this wonderful inn at the end of July. The room was very clean and we really enjoyed the rustic decor. We had been concerned about hearing noise from the highway since it is located on Old Hendersonville Hwy. We had asked about this when we made our reservation, and were told tha because of... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments about your stay at our Inn. Referrals are the most sincere compliments a business can receive. Tripadvisor comments accomplish this. I have always said we have the most wonderful guests. Our continental breakfest in the Event Room is always an interesting and fun time. It can be a true crossroad... More

We stayed at the CedarWood Inn this past July when visiting our daughter at camp. The room was very clean and cozy. The location was convenient to many local attractions. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. The owner was extremely helpful in guiding us to places to visit during our stay.

Our son goes to camp in the Hendersonville area and we discovered this B & B a few years ago and haven't considered staying anywhere else since then! We stay there for both the drop-off and the pick-up every year. Karen is a wonderful, charming hostess; the rooms are clean and comfortable; the location is great; and the rates are... More

I have been to CedarWood Inn many times and had a different, positive, experience in each room. The rooms are comfortable, welcoming, and well equipped with Wi-Fi, refrigerator, microwave, and TV. The rates are quite reasonable and include a continental breakfast with a healthy variety of food choices. The innkeeper is charming and has a wealth of knowledge of an... More

We planned a trip the NC Mountains for a weekend away. We have young children (3) and wanted a place that we could all decompress. I found CedarWood Inn. Had rooms that connected - major plus. The hotel is a diamond in the rough. Very homey feel, very clean and not expensive. My new favorite place. Karen (owner) was very... More
