An old Motel stuck on the side of the mountain. Want to relive the visits to Grandma's old house, this is your ticket. Don't misunderstand, the place is clean, VERY clean, but also very dated. The owners, both very nice and friendly. Bathroom's are original, from the fixtures to the floor, and all worked. No A/C units, not needed on... More

I stayed here on Saturday, July 14 and it is a very basic room with no a/c units inside the rooms. The rooms are very small and there is no tub. I think the rooms are overpriced for what you get ($75 a night with nothing special added except a very nice view of the mountains). A lot of bikers... More

The Abbey Inn Motel in Maggie Valley was an exceptional find on my motorcycle trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is a delightful place carved out of the mountain side at the edge of town with instant access to the attractions, yet insulated from the bustle of Rt. 19. The view of the valley alone is worth the price... More

Looking for a safe, clean, quite, friendly and best priced place to stay. Abbey Inn Motel is your place. We have been staying with Mike and Natalie for years with no problems. We just wish we lived closer so we could stay more often.

Our group was at the Abbey Inn two weeks ago....for a second tour of the Tennessee and North Carolina are on motorcycles. The owners are great people and helped out with our needs. The motel is clean and very conducive towards relaxing in the evening hours after a long day riding. We met up with other riders and lounged outside... More

If you stay in the mountain heritage community of Maggie Valley, North Carolina, consider the Abbey Inn. It is located just outside town at a higher elevation than the valley floor. This translates both to outstanding views of the next door mountain range and cooler temps as well. I recently used my room heater in June to knock off the... More

Is is clean: and a charm about it. It is nothing fancy--but you can not beat sitting outside it the chairs each nigh and talking... More

First, let me say, Natalie is very friendly and helpful. Booking was effortless. But if you're looking for chain type lodging with large rooms and roomy bathrooms with tubs.....this is not for you !! Our room with two queen beds was very small, bathroom was damp and tiny, with a musty smell to the entire place, and no bathtub. The... More
