This was by far the nicest place. Very pet friendly. Room decor was great. We stayed in the 60's room. Staff was friendly and helpful. I wish we had spent more time there and will stay there again.

Of course you can stay at a nicer hotel in New Bern - a chain hotel on the water with fluffy pillows and room service. But, if you want to save money, take your dog, and get some laughs - stay at the Zig. It's homey. It's very clean. And it's different. I like that.

Despite the other good reviews, I was disappointed. The room smelled of some sort of cleaning product. The TV didn't work, but I don't really care.
