I did not end up staying here, because they were surprisingly rude on the phone for booking. It did not feel like good customer service at all. Not many options on the island so maybe they don't have to be nice to people, but I at least would like my first interaction to be a good one before I stay... More

We like this hotel due to its ideal location, clean rooms, and extremely friendly service. It's delighful just to sit outside the rooms in Adirondak chairs, whether you are on your own or with a group. They have coffee, tea, and muffins for breakfast in the small lobby, but there is a darling coffee shop very near by (Live Oak... More

Very clean, people at the front desk are great very friendly. Rooms have a great view on the upper floors we stayed on the third floor. Strange place of the tv on upper part of the wall but you could see it fine. They had juice, muffins & coffee in the office in the am. There is also a coffee... More

Have been staying at the Anchorage Inn for two nights. I was a bit disappointed, because I had expected a bit more comfort for the substantial room rate. First of all: Yes, they do have the perfect location, you do have the perfect view on lighthouse and Silver Lake harbor, and nearly everything in the little town can be reached... More

Most places in this charming village at the end of the island are b and b's. This small hotel is a nice place to stay. It takes pets. Upstairs views are terrific, and you can walk to much of the little town's attractions from here. There is a small swimming pool across the street. The street is the main one,... More

I stayed here for 2 nights while attending a work-related conference. It's clean, great location close to the harbor and great views. Not much to complain about. It had a decent "shoulder season" rate, too. .

Walking distance from the Cedar Island Ferry and a beautiful view of Silver Lake (especially at sunset) makes this an excellent location. Golf cart rentals across the street provide easy island access for tourists. The rooms are old and musty. The bathroom is extremely small. The elevator smells like tractor grease. There was wireless access, but no mini fridge or... More

I had a one night stay at this hotel on a trip along the Outer Banks. We chose it simply because they allowed a Saturday night stay without requiring another night. Other hotels had two night stay limitations. The lobby is very small with a lobby area about 6'x 6'. The motel offers a breakfast that is served in this... More

I'm sure this must be among the best lodgings available on Ocracoke. They say it's the only brick building on the island (I was told it was built in 1986, but it's clearly been regularly updated), and it is the only one we saw--I guess this is where you'd want to be if a hurricane were to strike! In any... More

The Anchorage Inn is a basic hotel that greets you as soon as you get off the ferry from Cedar Island. It is pet friendly which is why we chose it. The staff is very pleasant. The breakfast is anemic (muffin and coffee), but at least they get you going. Pool was nice and clean. Wi-Fi in our room was... More
