The staff and owner are the most hospitable I have ever had the pleasure of staying with. The lodge and grounds are immaculate and beautiful. And the food, well the food is worth the price alone. They treat you as guests in their own house. If you want to go back in time to a simpler state of mind with... More

We decided to do a trip to drive on the Tail of the Dragon with our Corvette club. We had stayed at Tapoco Lodge several years ago and knew that we wanted to stay there again and have the club experience the lodge. It was WONDERFUL, The staff greeted us upon our arrival and got us checked in quickly. We... More

We discovered Tapoco Lodge on the UNCTV Carolina Weekend show and decided to celebrate our 40th anniversary there. It exceeded all of our expectations. The lodge and grounds were beautiful, everyone was extremely nice and helpful, including the dog, and the food was outstanding. We highly recommend Tapoco for a great getaway!

Let me begin by saying, "The Historic Tapoco Lodge is by far the most beautiful, serene, picturesque get away destination my husband and I have ever visited." The entire staff truly earns a 5+ star rating when it comes to their heart-warming, welcoming, accommodating, attentive and pleasant personas. Oh and I must mention comforting. Let me explain, on our way... More

It just doesn't get much better than this! The entire staff from the general manager to the young lady who helps clean the rooms are delightful, every minute of every day.....Nothing but smiles and graciousness. The views of the Cheoah River, the mountains, and the grounds add to the "Eden-like" setting. The rooms, both public and private are delightful. The... More

We saw an ad for Tapoco on UNC-TV and thought we'd give this a try for a weekend get away. This visit was fantastic from the moment we arrived. Beck and Karen were wonderful hosts. They knew us by first names, very attentive to anything we might want, very informative. I don't know how they had the energy to do... More

Gorgeous. The hosts, Becky and Karen, absolutely could not have done more to make us comfortable and welcome. The food was just divine. My trout at dinner was a delicacy--so were the other 4 courses! It rained the morning we were leaving, and we had breakfast at the chef's table. Great breakfast, spotless kitchen. Delightful full bar, and Karen was... More

Just returned from a wonderful 27th anniversary trip to the Topoco Lodge. Don't even know where to begin. The owners of this establishment have picked the most wonderful employees, and I feel like they need mentioned by name. Becky and Karen were the most pleasant and attentive guest services employees (they do a little bit of everything) we have ever... More

My wife and I stayed two nights over the Memorial Day weekend. It was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived we felt as if we were royalty! It is amazing that such a place exists where you can feel like a million bucks and not have to pay a lot to do it! Becky and Karen are great! We... More

This was our first visit to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and what a wonderful experience it was. The staff greeted us upon arrival and right away made us feel special and like we were the only guests. Becky and Karen truly love what they do and take great pride in making sure the guests are taken care of. The... More
