Stayed here as part of a Kimberley tour. Looks OK from the outside, but rooms need recarpeting. Beer bottles left around the pool overnight was not a good look. There isn't much choice of accommodation in Derby, so there is probably no incentive for the proprietors to upgrade.

We were on an organised tour and were warmly welcomed. Rooms were badly in need of some refurbishment, but comfortable enough for the stay. Restaurant is large and our meal was very good. We dont know how much our stay cost, so cannot comment. There is not too much in Derby and the remoteness of the area makes things difficult.

The mining industry and government staff in the region have forced up the price of accommodation in North West WA, but that is no excuse for poor standards and service.

Visited this hotel again on business and found staff helpful bringing me a hair dryer within minutes of calling reception. Ate in the restaurant one evening and the food wasn't bad at all and the service was good. They try hard with what they have to offer.
