We enjoyed this hotel so much in the fall 2012 and had planned to return this spring 2013. It is now called The Hotel of West Jefferson. This is no longer a Hampton. Hilton pulled the franchise in April 2013 after the hotel owner filed bankruptcy. Before that it was a pretty good Hampton. Nothing exceptional but it was convenient for my business travel. It was close to downtown and the few restaurants in W Jefferson and close to the grocery store that was usually open late.... More

West Jefferson is a quaint little NC mountain town. This hotel is very convenient to downtown shops and restaurants as well as local attractions. The hotel was very clean, quiet, has great views, and the breakfast was pretty good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

I had a good experience here back in 2011/2012. Not this year though. This year the staff was so indifferent I thought there was no one running the hotel. We were making our way up the Blue Ridge Parkway on our motorcycle and we were looking for somewhere to spend the night, after a fairly tiring day. If you like the Hampton Inn chain of Hilton Hotels (which I do), you won't be disappointed. West Jefferson is a nice town. Not too far from the ski slopes and Grandfather Mountain. See also Linville Falls nearby!

Desk clerk in evening started visit off with poor attitude. Room ok after heat turned on, Breakfast adequate and clean. New hotel with clean rooms and friendly housekeeper and breakfast staff. Pool clean. Not a fan of young children in hot tub.
