Neat little motel - western heritage style theme hotel. Saw and stayed in two rooms and I sensed all rooms were somewhat different. If you're into antiques and history you'll like it. I would suggest the "home on the range" room. Positives for me included clean, had a kitchenette and a dresser which were all beneficial for our 6 day... More

Thank you for your review. We appreciate guest comments to improve our standards. We have already added wi-fi boosters yesterday in some strategic areas of the property. It seems to have helped with availability and speed. More

4 people in a "suite". Suite= Small old fashion dirty cottage with 2 bedrooms. The "suites" have kitchen. It was dirty. 2 nights. They didnt make our beds. Reason: "the door of the bedroom was closed..." (Of course we had gone out...) Only 1 small shampoo for 4 people. No Internet. The pictures of their website are not exactly like... More

My sincere apologies to our guests for not meeting their expectations. At Bluebird Motel we take it seriously to provide the best service possible. We did not clean rooms during this stay as the the guests had left the room with two barking dogs - my staff decided it may not be safe to enter the room. Our rooms are... More

Lovely motel in an unlikely spot. We were driving from glacier in Montana up to Banff and needed to overnight. The room was large, very clean and basic, but made homey and fun with lots of historical items and furniture. We had dinner across the highway at the casa Roma, a friendly restaurant, with tasty home-cooked large pizzas and pastas... More

Needed a room for a night for a Pony Club event as I don't camp. So while the other clubbers were trailering/tenting out at the Ag Grounds, I was happily ensconced in this little gem of a motel. Picked it after reading the reviews. The Gene Autry Room is in the rear of the hotel. Just behind it is a... More

We were looking for a place to stay between Ft. McLeod and Banff. There aren't many, but I think we found one of the more charming. Like other reviewers have said, it's not much to look at right on the highway, but the room was a good size with plenty of character. The kitchenette and bathroom need renovating. The air... More

Stayed one night in July 2012 on our way from Glacier to Banff. From the outside you will not be impressed, but the proprietor and the rooms are excellent. We stayed in the Gene Autry room which is full of wonderful cowboy stuff. The furniture is beautiful antiques; the bathroom and kitchenette are new and very nice. The place is... More

An old motel that is right on the highway. No king sized beds, bathroom had been redone but no water pressure. Internet connection was poor. The cabin we stayed in was not soundproof and the people in the other side kept slamming doors for who knows what reason. Staff was friendly, room was clean even though the furniture was ancient.... I stayed at this motel 12 June 2012 and was very impressed by the cleanliness of our room along with the little touches to detail like incorporating antiques into the decor. I was also delighted to see that customer service is still alive and well at this establishment!!!

We stopped at the Bluebird Motel in Claresholm on our way to the U.S. as we had left Calgary quite late in the evening. The rooms here have names! The really friendly guy at reception suggested a room called "Home on the Range". This room looked like it was right out of an old western movie. There were Louis L'Amour... More
