We stayed 2nights at the Inn. The rooms are clean but the whole place needs some major leveling. There is practically no sound proofing between rooms and the stairs and floors are very noisy. Stayed here two nights on a birdwatching trip. My room was basic with double bed and separate bathroom. The room smelled a bit musty so I kept the windows open. A very warm and friendly atmosphere at the Marathon Inn. The inn serves breakfast and although they were nothing fancy they were great breakfasts. The serving staff were wonderful and it was a terrific way to begin a day of exploring Grand Manan.

The Marathon is a great old inn, located close to the Grand Manan ferry. The rooms are old, but large and clean. The host, Jim, is knowledgeable about the area, and friendly. Looked at other Inns/Hotels in the area, and the Marathon was, by far, the one that I would come back to.
