I stayed here en route from NS to Ont. I settled in to a perfect room for a person travelling alone - cozy but with its own bathroom including a clawfoot tub. After a short walk along the water to the recommended restaurant in town, I came back to herbal tea and cookies and a long bath. It was what... More

We (a 60-ish couple) picked this property partly based on favorable reviews on tripadvisor, and we were not disappointed! We took a week's vacation in "Downeast" Maine and opted for a side-trip just over the border to St. Stephen and St Andrews, NB, and reserved a night at Blair House in early Nov 2011. This is a grand Victorian house,... More

The house is beautiful and comfortable place to call home for one night. We were on our way to Saint John and wanted to stay in Canada rather than the US so that we would cross into the Atlantic time zone and start our next day one hour ahead. The rooms were comfortable and roomy, and the homemade breakfast was... More

We have stayed frequently at Blair House on our way to Newfoundland. David Whittingham is an excellent host and a great breakfast cook. There is a choice of traditional English breakfast of pancakes etc. Rooms are spacious and quiet. Tea is served about 9 pm in the parlor and one has a chance to know other guests. We recommend this... More

This was the first night of a 12 day road trip. We fly into Bangor Maine and this B & B was only a nice 2 hour drive. David was very helpful with directions and prior to arriving he provided a great list of things to do. I don't do stairs well and arranged for the queen bedroom on the... More

At the end of a 12 hour journey, we pulled into the Blair House. David welcomed us and gently helped us get settled in. Tea and cookies awaited in the cozy sitting room. The bedroom was lovely and comfortable with an excellent shower. An elegant breakfast included fresh fruit and gluten-free blueberry pancakes (a special perk for me). Believe all... More

The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and gave us good advice about local dining (downtown is about a 10 minute walk away at a leisurely pace). My room was attractive, comfortable and well-kept. I enjoyed evening tea with the hosts and other guests - we had a nice time talking about the house's history and everyone's travels. Breakfast was... More

Wow. First, the hosts, David and Judy, are delightful. Second, the house is beautiful. Third, the bed was the most comfortable ever, in a beautiful room, with a view of the river. The house is in a quiet residential neighborhood but within easy walking distance (two blocks) of many eateries and shops and the visitor information center for the town.... More
